SMASH THE SCUMS OF THE FASCIST KIEV GOVERNMENT! SOLIDARITY WITH ANTI-FASCIST LEFT AND BOROTBA!
On May 2, armed battalions of the Ukrainian government’s neo-Nazi organization «Right Sector», set on fire the building of workers’ union in Odessa. The fascists murdered 38 anti-fascists and separatist protesters. Among the dead were 2 members of the left, anti-fascist organization «Borotba».
A day before, the IMF agreed with the puppets of Kiev on a Memorandum of Cooperation between Ukraine and IMF and on loan of 17 billion dollars. The IMF besides its strict economic reforms, also made clear something else: that if the Kiev government loses control of the East then «the program will need to be redesigned». The murderous attack of the Kiev government is openly led by U.S. imperialism and its allies.
The Kiev government is composed by a block of right, far-right and openly nazi parties, which seized power with a coup on February 22. The nazi parties «Svoboda» and «Right Sector», dominated and shaped from the beginning the movement of «Maidan». The direct involvement of U.S. imperialism and the EU with the «spontaneous movement» and with the coup, is an attempt to integrate Ukraine permanently in western sphere of influence. It is significant, moreover, that although the government’s new power block overthrew a «legally elected government», still it was officially recognized by the «democratic» EU and the Greek government.
Borotba and the anti-fascist left in Ukraine resisted from the first moment to the fascist government of Kiev. Borotba participates in the anti-government protests and attempts to organize and coordinate the anti-fascist struggle, defending the rights of national minorities even to state separation.
The whole propaganda machine of western imperialism is frantically working during the last few days to support the raid of the Kiev regime against southeastern Ukraine, to discredit and isolate the resistance struggle and to facilitate the neoliberal right and Nazi puppet-government of the Ukrainian oligarchy and imperialism, in order to consolidate their dominance throughout Ukraine.
Even «progressive and left literature» exhibits the arson of the trade unions building as just a crash between simply pro-Russinas and Ukrainians, keeping equidistant, thus concealing the involvment of the fascists and the death of leftists and anti-fascists.
Today, to defend the “territorial integrity of Ukraine”, the slogan of «undivided and independent Ukraine» favors the hegemonic designs of U.S. imperialism and strengthens the propaganda and the actions of Kiev fascists. Today the policy of «equidistance» from the Left, is disastrous and complementary to imperialist propaganda.
